Nordstrom now offers free shipping/returns

What good timing!  I just went to Nordstrom.com to look for a dress for the wedding and noticed that, today, Nordstrom launched free shipping and free returns on all U.S. orders regardless of price!!  That means we can now try out Nordstrom's great online selection of larger sized shoes hassle free.  This could be dangerous.

Tall Dresses and Shy Legs

CONFESSION...

I occasionally often wear jeans in 90+ degree weather.  If I'm not wearing jeans, I'm wearing maxi skirts or dresses or am very self consciously wearing longish capris.

Why the shy legs? Thanks to 5 years of wearing heels while working as a bank teller in college, I have amassed a lovely collection of spider veins on my lower extremeties.  Last month, I started laser vein removal treatments and am SO beside-myself-excited to finally be able to wear short dresses and skirts again with confidence.  I figure it's high time to get this leg show on the road now that I'm almost 30.

I was hoping my legs could make their debut at my friend's wedding in October.  (By the way, the friend who is getting married is the the one who is walking on the wall next to me in my blog profile picture.  Yes.  I'm more than a full foot taller than her.  Yes. I know I'm wearing a short dress in this photo but that was back when I lived at the beach and my legs were tan so they made an appearance every now and again.)

Back to the topic at hand.  Short "tall" dresses.  As I've been keeping tabs on the appearance of my legs after my first two laser treatments, I'm noticing that the marks from the treatments take several weeks to fade.  I plan to have 2-3 more treatments in the next week or two so now I'm thinking my legs will have to make their debut at a later date.  Sigh.  I had even started a Pinterest board with potential "short" tall dresses to wear to the wedding.

I'm still stuck with figuring out what to wear to the wedding. What to do? What to do?  Do I look for a "long" tall dress instead of a "short" tall dress?  Do I channel Kate Middleton and wear pantyhose with a short dress to hide the "cat scratch looking" marks from the laser treatments?  Do I wear my own wedding dress again because I love it so much?  O wait...that probably won't go over too well with my bridefriend.

In all seriousness, I can't wait until I'm done with the treatments and don't have to worry about having shy leg syndrome anymore.  Stay tuned for what I end up wearing to the wedding.

Long Tall Sally...Coming to a City Near You

Oh glory be!!!  Long Tall Sally just announced its pop up shop schedule for the rest of 2011.

(Heel toe tap tap tap twirl twirl dip)

Don't mind me....I'm just doing a little happy jig because I'm SO excited to check out LTS's selection in person for the first time!!!  They'll be coming to my hometown (or I should say home county) - the OC - October 8-9.  When I first saw that OC was included in the pop up shop list, I thought it was a cruel twist of fate since I just moved a few months ago.  BUT then I realized I'll be in town that weekend for a friend's wedding.  Perfecto!

The other pop up cities besides Orange County are: Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, DC, Montreal, Dallas, NYC and Indianapolis.

No...I don't play basketball

My sassy tee from I Love My Height just arrived and I wasted no time in running out on the deck for a photo op with "my" cornfield as the backdrop.

I ordered a small in the "Missy" size and it fits perfectly so I think I'll be ordering some more designs in the future. I  submitted my photo to ILMH for their "chick pic of the week".  Stay tuned to see if I get chosen.

Fun Tall Tees

My (not so) favorite question from strangers is "do you play basketball?" or variations thereof such as the "what team do you play for?" query I received last week from the owner of an antique shop I was browsing.  Now, thanks to The Tall Blog's post about ilovemyheight.com, I can answer this question without anyone ever having to ask me because I just bought this shirt.  Problem solved.  ILMH has tons of other sassy tees in a variety of fun colors.  Maybe I can even get the gals at ILMH to make me a special "Yes. The air is better up here" tee.

Check out the selection and leave me a comment to let me know which one is your favorite.
