In my humble opinion, Endless.com is absolute heaven for those of us with ample-sized feet who regularly feel deflated when we go shoe shopping and are only able to find one or two pairs in our size. When I was frantically searching for black flats the other day on Endless (because I threw my rather eldery pair away awhile back to force myself to buy new ones), I had 482 pairs to weed through in size 11! Glorious! The searching capabilities on the site are fabulous (filter by any combo of size, color, heel height, price, style, brand) and you can't beat the free, 2 day shipping and free returns. Plus, they are ALWAYS having sales.
I ended up buying these Franco Sarto Astrid ballet flats and literally squealed with delight when I got home from work and saw my shoes waiting for me...a day earlier than estimated by Endless in my confirmation email. Now, I'm well aware that it's spring and bright colors are all the rage and everyone is sporting sandals, but I'm the type who just can't live without black flats in my closet. So before I bought any sandals, I HAD to have a new pair of flats. These are quite comfy and I love the poofy flower. Yes yes...I know...I have "toe cleavage" - something that used to make me cringe in my younger days, but I'm just getting too old to be so persnickety and I really don't care. I'm just happy to have a fun pair of flats to wear to work. (Click "read more" below to read on).
You already got a gander at my Steve Madden Entyce boots in my last post. Again, I know I'm completely out of whack as far as seasons go and I should have reviewed these boots a few months ago, but I've always been a late bloomer so I have a reputation to maintain. Sidebar...I have retired these boots until next fall, so no need to send the fashion police after me for wearing boots after the first day of spring.
Back to the review - I searched high and low for boots that had a wide enough shaft to not only house my cankles and large-ish calves, but also a shaft that was wide enough so that I could stuff jeans into them etc. After much deliberation, thoroughly reviewing Allison's photos of the boots on redwoodclothing.com and discussing the boots with Allison via Twitter, I bought them on sale from Endless. I don't think I've ever owned a pair of "insta-comfort" boots that require absolutely no break-in period in my life, but let me tell you - these were comfortable from the moment I tore open the box and put them on. I don't own a pair of skinny jeans because I can't seem to get them up past the mid-calf mark when I've tried them on in the past (although I'm wondering if some custom made skinnies from Indi might do the trick), but I'm able to stuff my Joe's Twiggy jeans into these boots and they look pretty good. I mostly wore them with leggings during the winter, but they have 3 holes where the buckle is so you can loosen or tighten depending on the bulkiness of your pants. I also love the subtle 1.25" wedge heel...just enough to make me tower over people a wee bit more, but not so high that I get the "WHOA" looks from people.
I promise my next shoe review will be sandals because it's getting HOT here in the South so now I desperately need some.
In the meantime, have you ever shopped on Endless? Tell me about your finds!
