I Heart You Endless.com - Size 11 Shoes Galore

In my humble opinion, Endless.com is absolute heaven for those of us with ample-sized feet who regularly feel deflated when we go shoe shopping and are only able to find one or two pairs in our size.  When I was frantically searching for black flats the other day on Endless (because I threw my rather eldery pair away awhile back to force myself to buy new ones), I had 482 pairs to weed through in size 11! Glorious! The searching capabilities on the site are fabulous (filter by any combo of size, color, heel height, price, style, brand) and you can't beat the free, 2 day shipping and free returns. Plus, they are ALWAYS having sales.

I ended up buying these Franco Sarto Astrid ballet flats and literally squealed with delight when I got home from work and saw my shoes waiting for me...a day earlier than estimated by Endless in my confirmation email.  Now, I'm well aware that it's spring and bright colors are all the rage and everyone is sporting sandals, but I'm the type who just can't live without black flats in my closet. So before I bought any sandals, I HAD to have a new pair of flats. These are quite comfy and I love the poofy flower. Yes yes...I know...I have "toe cleavage" - something that used to make me cringe in my younger days, but I'm just getting too old to be so persnickety and I really don't care. I'm just happy to have a fun pair of flats to wear to work. (Click "read more" below to read on).

Special Event Outfit Revealed (And a BIG Thanks to My Readers!) - Long Tall Sally Cable Knit Tunic, Steve Madden Intyce Boots and J Crew Tall Majesty Peacoat

Remember my "Wanted: Hot Outfit for Cold Weather" post? Well I'm pleased to say that starting my outfit hunt early paid off because I was happy as a clam with the final result. And (dun dun dun dunnnnn...that's my attempt at a drum roll by the way) now I can reveal both the event and the final outfit!

The special event was welcoming Mr. L3 home from a 6 month overseas deployment.  I went back and forth about whether or not to mention the fact that Mr. L3 is in the Army on the blog since my husband's occupation doesn't really pertain to this blog's theme of "life in the tall lane", BUT I decided to mention it because I want to say a MAMMOTH thanks to all of my readers and all of my new tall friends on Twitter and Facebook for helping to keep my spirits high through the last several months.

I started Long.Leggy.Lovin' It! back in 2010 because I was feeling a little stifled in the creative department with all of the dry, legal writing I was having to do as a paralegal, and I wanted an outlet to do some lighthearted, fun writing. I just took a quick look back at the history of my blog and realized I only did 5 posts in 2010, but wrote 43 in 2011 most of which were in the second half of the year while Mr. L3 was gone. After he deployed, I needed projects to keep me busy and entertained so I started blogging more...and shopping tall...and blogging...and tweeting...and shopping tall and...well you get the idea.

We had only been married for 8 months when he deployed (and let me just interject that 1) we had dated for 2 years and I knew what I was signing up for, and 2) I consider myself extremely fortunate that he was only gone for 6 months, as opposed to a full year like many of my Army wife buddies), but getting married, moving away from my friends, family, job that I loved and hometown in Southern California to live in two different states and having my husband deploy all in the span of less than a year was A LOT of change.  Don't get me wrong - despite Mr. L3's absence, our first 15 months of marriage have been pretty danged fabulous and I have no major complaints. I did, however, most certainly have my moments where I was a little glum and pining for Mr. L3, as well as my friends and family back in California.  Blogging about my tall adventures and mishaps, interacting with all of you fabulous tall ladies, finding a bunch of new tall lines (like Elle Mayers, Height Goddess, Talltique, I Love My Height LLC, Mommy Long Legs, Tall Girl Crafts, 6 Foot Fashion) and reconnecting with some lines I hadn't shopped with in awhile or ever (Long Elegant Legs, Tall Couture, Long Tall Sally) has been a blast, gave me something to be excited about and boosted my spirits immensely.

OK...I think that's the most I've ever written without inserting a photo, so let's move on to the outfit. Alas, I  don't have any fantastic full length photos of my outfit from the actual homecoming ceremony so I figured I'd recreate the look using the beautiful view from the Palm Beach condo we stayed at on our post-deployment trip.

Yes...I know...I have hair flying in my eye. It was windy.
Here's another photo of just the view from the condo because I don't feel like the first one does it justice.

J Crew Tall Majesty Peacoat

Moving on, a week before Mr. L3 was due to come home, I already had a few potential outfit pieces, but I didn't feel like all pieces of the outfit had quite clicked yet.  Then, I noticed that Long Tall Sally had a white version of my beloved gray cable knit tunic I had bought from the pop-up shop, and I pounced on it because it looks great on my backside, is incredibly comfy and goes perfectly with my new Steve Madden Intyce boots (separate review coming soon) and favorite (super long) brown leggings from Loveapella.  Top it all off with my new J Crew tall Majesty peacoat shown on the right (separate review of the coat coming soon as well), and I was off to the races!

Needless to say, I've been a complete slacker with my blogging the past month since I've been a smidge preoccupied with all of the prep for welcoming Mr. L3 home and then hanging out with him as much as possible to make up for lost time, all the while trying to keep up with my busy job. I've been working on a ton of reviews on our vacation so get ready for a flurry of posts!  And guess what....now that Mr. L3 is home, there are a bajillion welcome home events to attend so you know what that means...more tall shopping! Hooray!
